*Insight School of Minnesota iLearning course (1.0 credit).  The iLearning course embodies several elements of  learning in an online, independent study environment and planning around the student’s current goals and future plans. Three of those elements include: (1) the student’s Senior (i.e., Culminating) Project; (2) development, maintenance, and completion of the student portfolio; and (3) completion of the High School & Beyond Plan.

In keeping with Minnesota state law and Insight School of Minnesota policy, students will be required to:

  • Achieve proficiency on required Minnesota state testing
  • Complete a community service project
  • Create a student portfolio
  • Develop a personal plan for high school and beyond
  • Complete an exit interview

Students that have not accomplished these requirements prior to enrolling in Insight School of Minnesota will complete them in the iLearning course senior year.

Although students that enroll in Insight School of Minnesota after the start of their freshman year are eligible to transfer credits earned towards their graduation requirements, they must be enrolled in at least 4 courses each semester to be full-time and complete at least 5 credits from Insight before being eligible to earn a diploma. A typical student will be enrolled in 5-6 courses each semester.
