Gain experience

Connect with the real world—for real experience and inspiration.

Insight brings the outside world into the school setting, and also brings students into the world to learn firsthand.

  • Experience Series—every month throughout the school year, we bring in a national speaker and have a virtual “all school assembly” bringing Insight students together from across the nation. Past speakers have included nationally prominent:
    • Animators
    • Filmmakers
    • Politicians
    • Photojournalists
    • Professional athletes
    • Archaeologists
    • Fashion designers
  • Internships—for real-world hands-on experience!
    • Virtual internships are completed 100% online
    • On-premise internships allow students to work at an organization in their community
    • In most cases, elective credit can be earned for completing an internship
    • All internships are facilitated by a member of the Insight faculty
    • Internships are available for students that meet certain requirements —talk to an Academic Counselor to find out how to work this into your schedule!

Prepare for college

Guidance you can trust from career and college planning experts.

Insight offers access to career and college planning and support with Academic Counselors and iAchieve Advisors.

  • Advisors post office hours and connect with students and parents to discuss goals and interests. Both Advisors and Academic Counselors guide students to important planning resources—such as the Career Information System, a college planning calendar, and more.
  • Career and college goals are tracked by Academic Counselors in the iAchieve Student Learning Plan—including targeted colleges, scholarships, and career aspirations.
